More than two months on the road, 15.000 kilometers south of where we started, a few crashes and countless unforgettable memories later:
Benin is the last country of this stage of our trip. Join the grand finale to voodoo priests and midnight ceremonies, to Benins economical capital Cotonou and a time where we still thought we would continue our journey soon.

Our first stop in Benin: The city Abomey where we stayed at the lovely guesthouse “Chez Sabine”. Our host and her friend took us to a midnight voodoo ceremeony to get to know one of Benins most important religions and to a voodoo priest. He performed a ceremony only for us to make us travel safe in the future.
Heavy hearted we said goodbye to Abomey – to drive to Cotonou where we found a safe parking for our motorcycles and visitied Dantokpa market.

Join the grand finale of this stage of our west africa trip!

//NOTE: videos were recorded before I had a Youtube Channel – initially used for my Instagram stories. That’s the reason for the close ups of my face or bad quality of videos – they were recorded vertically. I still decided to use them – that’s the authentic footage I have and I can’t change that anymore. Remember: I just started out with filming and cutting – its a learning curve and far from perfect! Promise: my next trips after the country Benin will have much improved footage!
